This is the simple mindset they have and dedicate their entire life towards serving.īut the main question that stuck my mind was, don't these tribals have greater ambitions like we city residents? Don't they find it difficult to manage time if they just simply help anyone who asks for? How come they trust each other?īecause when we look at our own examples from our city life, whenever we ask for help from our fellowmates, we get answers like what will I get in return? I am busy at the moment. They raise slogans like Kaun hamara sukhdata - Dharti Ganga Gaumaataa (Who is our saviour - Mother earth, River Ganga in the form of rain and holy mother cow). They have no other intention than serving the mother earth and fellow community members. Adding to this Sharma Ji said that the sense of selflessness (Paramartha) is actively present in the tribals. For maintaining this brotherhood we can always sacrifice our incomes. Speaking about the income of 2-3 days and out-of-pocket spending the villagers said in time of crisis only these fellow brothers and sisters help. These tribals understand this interconnectedness very well hence willingly help each other. It is connected through many things one of those is the soul. In simple words its not geographical as we think. She cannot say that I live in Delhi hence I will only take care of Yamuna river that is present in Delhi. Hence if a Delhite wishes to have clean drinking water she must make sure that the river is clean in all these 4 states. Yamuna Originates in Uttarakhand, flows through Himachal Pradesh then Haryana and then into Delhi. the water that a person in Delhi drinks comes from river Yamuna. He said that this world is a highly interconnected world. So what is the inspiration behind this Halma? How come people sacrificing their income of 2-3 days come out of their own expense to serve some remote village wherein they know no one? How exactly it helps them? I was furiated with all these questions which were solved by none other than Sharma Ji. This magnificient crowd of 30 trenches along the mountain which will save 2 crore litres of water per year in just 3 hours entirely free. A few families of 4 generations donated their efforts to serve mother earth.
